“Help. I woke up early morning thinking that I had rolled onto my hand in my sleep. My fingers and elbow were so painful that I thought I had dislocated them. Ran them under a warm tap, rubbing them gently…thinking that the pain will go away. But it didn’t help.
Just when I thought this was bad, I started to experience pains on my shoulders, hips and knees. I struggled to walk, sit and stand for long hours. Everything seems to hurt. I may be 45, but I feel like I’m 80.
Doing the usual things seem almost impossible now — At times I have difficulty carrying a handbag, drying my hair and walking my dog. I didn’t know at that time that this was just the start of my journey through menopause.
I went for countless blood tests, X-rays or even MRIs trying to find out what’s wrong with me. But my tests always came back clear. I was sent to the physios and chiros but nothing helped and I’m still in pain.
Because of all these pains, I only survived on a few hours of sleep a night, and have difficulty remembering the word I needed to finish my sentence. It's also making me hard to stay active, so I’ve put on 20 pounds ever since then. Not just sleep, I've also lost my confidence and motivation to do anything and wear my favorite clothes now.
After years of pain, I eventually found out that this joint pain and weight gain were down to the menopause.
If only there was proper education on menopause so that I knew all these problems were linked to it...it would have saved years of investigation and sleepless nights worrying what was wrong with me.
After doing a lot of research it seems that many women take turmeric for weight control and inflammation-related issues. A few articles even recommended Moringa Leaves to help with low energy and brain fog…so this is definitely worth a try. I should also avoid coffee, sugar and acidic foods like pickles and vinegar as well. What do you think?"
Many women think that weight gain and other symptoms like bloating, hot flashes and joint pain during menopause were normal and can’t be stopped.
But here’s the truth:
There are 3 things that happen during menopause that make these symptoms seem inevitable:
Estrogen helps to regulate metabolism, weight and reduce inflammation.
During menopause, we tend to see a drop in estrogen, which leads to faster weight gain due to decreased metabolic rate.
Estrogen also acts like a joint lubricant. The reduction in the level of estrogen in our bodies may also affect the joints, ligaments and tendons causing tension, swelling, stiffness and creaking.
This change may also wreak havoc with the body’s production of collagen. That’s a problem as collagen is rich in amino acids which play an important role in the building of joint cartilage.
Solution: Curcumin
Curcumin is a phytoestrogen (a plant source of estrogen) which helps menopausal women to rebalance their estrogen levels healthily and naturally.
Phytoestrogens have either an enhancing (estrogenic/positive) or a diminishing (anti-estrogenic/ negative) effect on overall estrogen level.
An estrogenic/positive effect if the circulating level of estrogen is low because they increase the total amount of estrogen in the body. (They fill an estrogen receptor with a weak estrogen rather than leaving it empty with no estrogen.)
An anti-estrogenic/negative effect if the circulating level of estrogen is high because they decrease the total amount of estrogen in the body by inhibiting binding of the stronger human estrogen.
Natural phytoestrogens like curcumin have been recommended for its ability to manage estrogen levels without other side effects.
It is also a natural antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory herb that supports weight control, digestion, joint pain & cools hot flashes/night sweats.
Curcumin is the main active ingredient found in turmeric. For the best effect, make sure to take Golden Turmeric Root Extract (95% Curcuminoids) together with Black Pepper, which helps to increase the absorption of Curcumin.
A drop in estrogen can also cause higher inflammation levels.
High Inflammation levels can cause expanded fat cells, increased fat absorption and weight gain.
As time goes on, some women may also start to notice that they feel more aches and pains in areas like knees, shoulders, neck, elbows, or hands than they used to, causing discomfort and menopause-related arthritis.
Solution: Moringa Leaves
Moringa leaves provide an even stronger anti-inflammatory benefit than curcumin and are packed with several essential minerals like iron.
During menopause, iron levels drop severely which can lead to anxiety, mood swings and brain fog.
A daily dose of moringa replenishes iron levels in the body, reduces inflammation and helps women with low energy feel recharged in the morning.
Aim to have at least 350mg of Moringa Leaf every day.
A drop in estrogen levels during menopause can cause bad bacteria to grow quicker in the gut (which may also lead to gut inflammation and “leaky gut”)
This is why it’s common to have belly bloating, weight gain, and other digestive issues during menopause.
Probiotics are great for strengthening the gut and populate it with good bacteria.
Pickles, kimchi, sauerkraut and kefir are rich in probiotics that introduce good bacteria in the gut.
There are also some unique probiotic strains — like L. Gasseri & B. Breve — that have been studied to impact bloating and stubborn fat.
Here at Better Body Co., we’ve combined these clinically studied ingredients to create a 100% natural solution.
Provitalize is our #1 Anti-MenoBelly solution that contains a unique combination of ingredients that has helped over 345,795 women to curb menopausal symptoms such as weight gain, bloating and joint pains caused by hormonal changes and aging, especially in 40-60s:
They have taken back control of their lives and transformed this otherwise “difficult time” into the perfect prime of their lives.
The key to getting the most out of probiotics is… CONSISTENCY.
It takes time for the probiotics to fully colonise the gut - and the only way to speed up the process is to make sure you have a daily dose of probiotic for at least 3 months.
That’s why we created our Autoship plans…
To help women achieve consistency and accelerate their way towards an easier menopause with Provitalize.
