Exercise #1: Step-Up

• Find a sturdy, slightly elevated step like an exercise platform or stairs. Make sure it is firmly planted to the ground.
  
  
• Start by standing 1-2 feet from the step.
  
  
• With your right foot, step up, pushing through your heel.
  
  
• As you extend your right foot to the fullest, drive your left knee toward the sky.
  
  
• Lower your left leg down, stepping backwards off the bench to the starting position. That’s one rep.
  
  
• Complete 2 sets of 10 reps with both legs.

Exercise #2: Curtsy lunge

• Start by standing with feet shoulder-distance, arms bent in front of you for balance.
  
  
• While tightening your core and keeping your upper body straight, bend your left leg and step backwards with your right leg — as if you were curtsying.
  
  
• After a brief pause, push through your left heel and come back to start.
  
  
• Switch legs and repeat the same steps. This is one rep.
  
  
• Complete 2 sets of 10 reps, resting one minute in between sets.

Exercise #3: Squat Jumps

• Start by standing with your feet shoulder-width apart, arms at your sides or cupped on your ears.

• Begin to squat, as if you’re sitting back in a chair with.
  
  
• When you’re coming up, boost yourself up into a small jump.
  
  
• Land as softly as possible, letting the balls of your feet land first. That’s one rep.
  
  
• Complete 2 sets of 10 reps.

Exercise #4: Glute Bridge

• Start by lying on the floor with your knees bent, facing up, feet flat on the ground, and your arms at your sides with palms facing down.
  
  
• Take a deep breath and push up through your heels, raising your hips off the ground — engaging your core, glutes, and hamstrings. Your body should form a straight line from upper back to knees.
  
  
• At the top, pause and squeeze, then return to the starting position.
  
  
• Complete 2 sets of 10 reps.

Exercise #5: Stability Ball Hamstring Curl

• Lay on your back with a stability / yoga ball underneath your lower legs and feet, arms by your side with palms facing down.
  
  
• While engaging your core and glutes, press your hips up off the floor so your body, from upper back to feet, forms a straight line.
  
  
• Press your lower legs and feet into the ball for stability.
  
  
• Using your hamstrings, pull your heels toward your butt until your feet are flat on the stability ball.
  
  
• Return to the straight-body position. This is one rep.
  
  
• Complete 2 sets of 10 reps.
