3 Smoothie Recipes To Fight Hot Flash This Summer!

In a controlled study done on menopausal women - women halved their hot flashes by eating 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed, twice daily, mixed into their cereal, juice, fruit, or yoghurt. 

In addition, within 6 weeks, the intensity of their hot flashes dropped by 57% during the study. 

That’s why we might want to add flaxseed in our smoothie. 

 

Recipe (for 1 person):

Add 1 to 2 medium sized fresh Strawberries

Add 1 medium sized fresh Bananas

6 oz of fresh & organic Grape juice (you can avoid this if you want & just add extra water)

2 tablespoon of Organic Flax Seed

Mix this well in a blender & you’re good to go! 


2) Blueberry & Soy Milk Smoothie

As we know hot flashes are caused by a drastic drop in our estrogen level. 

So, adding phytoestrogen to your smoothie may help! Soy milk contains phytoestrogens - this may help to counter hormonal imbalances and really help with your night time hot flashes.

Recipe (for up to 3 person):

1 cup or 75g of fresh Blueberry

2 cups or 500ml of Soy Milk 

You can also add 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup if you don’t like the taste of soy milk. 

Mix this well in a blender & you’re good to go! 


3) Spinach & Carrot Smoothie

Both spinach & carrots are both rich in bioflavonoids, fiber, and essential minerals - all of which are recommended for dealing with excessive sweating and heat sensation. 

Additionally, these nutrients help to regulate hormonal activity and strengthen your immune system. 

 

Recipe (for up to 2 person):

  1. 2 carrots
  2. 6 spinach leaves
  3. 1 tomato
  4. 2 stalks of celery 
  5. 1 cup or 200ml of water

Mix this well in a blender & you’re good to go!
